Senior Service Delivery Manager – Managed IT Services (Remote, UK)

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Service Delivery Manager to lead the delivery of managed IT services for a leading technology consultancy operating within secure UK Government environments. The role is remote‑based with regular travel to customer sites for meetings, workshops and service reviews.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end delivery of managed services, ensuring SLA and KPI targets are met.
• Act as primary contact for customers, leading service reviews and handling escalations.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customer and internal stakeholders.
• Identify and implement service improvements to boost quality and satisfaction.
• Support service transitions and ensure smooth hand‑over to BAU operations.
• Manage suppliers and third‑party providers, addressing performance issues.
• Monitor service performance, financials, forecasting and reporting.
• Assist with renewals, service enhancements and change requests.
• Mentor and support junior Service Delivery Managers.

Required profile

• Active Security Check (SC) clearance.
• Proven experience in an IT service provider or managed services environment.
• Strong background in service delivery management and customer relationship management.
• Experience managing SLAs, service reviews and operational reporting.
• Good understanding of ITIL principles and service management processes.
• Commercial awareness including forecasting, invoicing and profitability.
• Excellent communication, organisation and stakeholder management skills.
