Senior SHE Manager - Environment and Property Safety

About the role

SGN is seeking a proactive Senior SHE Manager with a focus on environment and property. You will play a critical part in safeguarding people, reputation and the licence to operate while driving the company’s Zero Harm initiative.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the development, maintenance and continual improvement of the Environmental Management System (EMS) in line with ISO 14001.
• Provide environmental leadership and advice, ensuring compliance with legislation, regulations and industry standards.
• Monitor policy and regulatory developments and support the business in responding to changes.
• Drive initiatives that reduce waste, promote circular‑economy principles and achieve carbon‑reduction targets.
• Govern environmental risk across SGN’s property portfolio and support asset activities.
• Improve the quality, management and reporting of environmental data to enable informed decision‑making.
• Build relationships with operational teams, contractors and stakeholders to embed responsible environmental practices.
• Support the delivery of the Environmental Strategy, emergency preparedness and wider SHE objectives.

Required profile

• Proactive and experienced senior SHE professional with a focus on environment and property.
• Demonstrated ability to influence safety culture and environmental performance across an organisation.
• Strong communication and stakeholder‑engagement skills.

Required skills

• ISO 14001 compliance and EMS implementation.
• Environmental legislation and regulatory knowledge.
• Waste‑reduction, circular‑economy and carbon‑reduction initiatives.
