Senior Site Manager – Internal Fit Out

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Site Manager to lead the internal fit‑out of a major purpose‑built student accommodation (PBSA) scheme in North West London. The role will oversee two high‑rise reinforced‑concrete frame buildings, ensuring apartments and communal areas are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Take full ownership of the internal fit‑out programme across the large‑scale PBSA development.
• Manage day‑to‑day site operations and report directly to the Project Director.
• Lead, mentor and develop a team of four site‑based professionals.
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and direct labour to achieve safe, on‑time, high‑quality delivery.
• Sequence and manage finishing trades throughout the internal delivery phase.
• Monitor progress, identify risks and implement mitigation measures.
• Maintain health, safety, environmental compliance and quality assurance standards.
• Chair site meetings, conduct inspections and provide regular progress reports to senior management.
• Collaborate with commercial and technical teams to resolve issues and minimise project risk.
• Drive high‑quality finishes through robust quality control and inspection processes.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Senior Site Manager delivering internal fit‑outs for large residential, PBSA or mixed‑use projects.
• Strong background in managing high‑quality residential finishing trades from first fix to handover.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and develop small site teams, including Site Managers and Assistant Site Managers.
• Excellent knowledge of construction sequencing, quality assurance and programme management.
• Solid experience managing multiple subcontractor packages.
• Good understanding of health & safety legislation and quality management procedures.
