Senior Social Worker – Court Team

About the role

Join Buckinghamshire Council’s Court Team as a Senior Social Worker, supporting children and young people through care proceedings. You will bring specialist knowledge from child protection or court environments and work collaboratively with multi‑professional partners.

Key responsibilities

• Gather and write robust evidence for care proceedings, including taking the stand and giving oral evidence.
• Work directly with children and young people, ensuring their voices are heard and their needs met.
• Build positive links with schools, families, and other professionals to promote effective multi‑agency working.

Required profile

• Qualified social worker registered with Social Work England with specialist knowledge of child and family practice.
• Ability to manage caseloads, work flexibly under pressure and engage in reflective supervision.
• Commitment to improving the lives of children and young people and to the Council’s values.

What we offer

• Salary £51,081‑£53,571 plus a market premium of £2,750 per annum and a “Golden Hello” payment of £2,125 after one year.
