Senior Software Engineer – Full‑Stack JavaScript, AI & AWS

About the role

Senior Software Engineer with proven product engineering skills in full‑stack JavaScript, AI tooling and AWS is sought by a market‑leading PaaS organisation in central Manchester. The role will lead new product development and AI innovation, working closely with the CTO to boost engineering efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design and delivery of new SaaS products and AI‑driven features.
• Collaborate with the CTO to improve engineering efficiency using AI tooling.
• Set technical direction and architecture for a high‑growth, PE‑backed company.
• Contribute to the full software lifecycle, from design to production deployment.
• Mentor and guide junior team members within a collaborative, autonomous culture.

Required profile

• Minimum eight years of professional software engineering experience.
• Experience operating at Staff or Lead Engineer level in a product‑focused environment.
• Strong delivery mindset with ability to ship software and design solutions.
• Proven ability to work autonomously and influence technical direction.
• Experience in a Product or PaaS environment.

Required skills

• Full‑stack TypeScript and JavaScript (Next.js, React, Node.js).
• Strong production experience with AWS.
• Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, CDK or CloudFormation.
• Cloud‑native architecture and serverless design.
• AI tooling and integration experience.
• CI/CD pipelines and Test‑Driven Development (TDD).
