Senior Software Engineer

About the role

As a Senior Software Engineer you will join Awin’s Billing & Payments tribe, helping to build and maintain the core platform that powers affiliate marketing transactions. You will work in a cross‑functional, service‑oriented team, delivering reliable, secure and scalable services while shaping technical direction.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate within a small agile team to design, implement and operate services.
• Own applications across the full lifecycle, from architecture and coding to production support.
• Identify improvement opportunities and technical risks, influencing the roadmap.
• Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Facilitate agile ceremonies and workshops to support effective teamwork.
• Mentor engineers through code reviews and knowledge sharing.
• Troubleshoot production incidents, ensuring high reliability and stability.
• Communicate clearly with both local and remote stakeholders.

Required profile

• 6+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong object‑oriented programming foundation and comfort with multiple languages, especially Java/Spring.
• Passion for clean, maintainable code and solid understanding of SOLID principles.
• Hands‑on experience designing AWS‑based microservices, REST APIs and event‑driven architectures.
• Commitment to engineering quality through code reviews, testing and CI/CD practices.
• Experience maintaining CI/CD pipelines and using Git for version control.
