Senior Software Engineer – Node, Vue, TypeScript (Remote Europe)

About the role

You will join the team building Reedsy's collaborative book‑editing tool, working closely with designers and engineers to create new features from scratch. The role focuses on extending a cutting‑edge word processor, delivering beautiful book templates, and ensuring high performance and security for authors across Europe.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and ship new features in partnership with designers and engineers.
• Extend the collaborative word processor with new capabilities.
• Create beautiful book templates for e‑readers and print.
• Architect and develop highly scalable web applications.
• Evaluate and improve performance, durability, and security of production systems.
• Own tasks from conception through delivery.
• Review teammates’ work and provide constructive feedback.

Required profile

• Professional experience with NodeJS, VueJS, TypeScript and NoSQL databases (Redis, MongoDB).
• Strong understanding of modern HTML and CSS.
• Test‑driven development mindset.
• Fluent English communication skills.
• Comfortable working remotely.
