About the role
Are you an experienced Stock Condition Surveyor seeking to lead a team and influence long‑term asset investment decisions? TristoneNash Ltd is looking for a Senior Stock Condition Surveyor to join the Assets Team of an affordable housing provider, taking ownership of the stock condition survey programme and delivering high‑quality data to support investment planning and compliance.
Key responsibilities
- Lead delivery of stock condition surveys across a diverse property portfolio.
- Manage, coach and support a team of Stock Condition Surveyors.
- Maintain accurate, robust data through rigorous quality‑assurance processes.
- Produce schedules of work, specifications and technical drawings as required.
- Carry out EPC assessments and ensure correct data capture and submission.
- Complete HHSRS assessments, disrepair inspections and prepare expert witness reports.
- Provide specialist advice on building defects, pathology and asset investment decisions.
- Monitor contractor compliance with Health & Safety legislation and CDM Regulations.
- Build positive relationships with customers, contractors and internal stakeholders.
- Champion excellent customer service and act as an ambassador for the organisation.
- Adapt to operational priorities and undertake additional duties as needed.
Required profile
- Construction‑related degree or equivalent qualification.
- Domestic Energy Assessor (DEA) qualification.
- HHSRS qualification.
- Strong knowledge of CDM Regulations.
- Significant experience undertaking stock condition surveys and identifying building defects.
- Excellent knowledge of building construction, maintenance and pathology.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently, prioritise workload and manage multiple projects.
- Desirable: Professional membership of RICS or CIOB, experience of PAS 2035, P405 Management of Asbestos qualification, SMSTS, NEBOSH Construction or Health & Safety Management qualification, knowledge of Party Wall matters.
