Senior Structural Design Engineer (Remote, UK)

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Structural Design Engineer to join our client’s remote team. The role focuses on the design and analysis of masonry, timber and steel structures for residential projects across the United Kingdom, adhering to UK safety, quality and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop detailed structural models and perform analysis using ETABS and Tekla Tedds.
• Prepare structural calculations, technical reports and construction drawings for masonry, timber, steel and reinforced‑concrete elements.
• Design steel members, braced frames, moment‑resisting frames, portal frames and trusses, including connections and base plates.
• Design retaining walls and drainage/sewer systems in line with Eurocodes and British Standards.
• Produce detailed drawings with AutoCAD, AutoCAD Structural Detailing and Revit for client review and regulatory approval.
• Collaborate with architects, civil engineers, contractors and other stakeholders to integrate structural solutions.
• Ensure compliance with local building regulations, wind loading and other environmental factors.

Required profile

• Minimum ten years of experience in structural engineering design.
• Proven ability to work independently under minimal supervision.
• Strong project management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
• Experience with residential projects such as extensions, loft conversions and new‑build homes.
