Senior Support Worker

About the role

Bright Futures Care is seeking a Senior Support Worker to join its team at Bardley Crescent in Knowsley, supporting five adults with autism and learning disabilities. The role involves leading the shift team, delivering person‑centred care, and helping individuals achieve personal goals.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and mentor the support team during your shift, acting as a role model.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with service users, understanding their interests and care plans.
• Plan and facilitate daily activities such as social events, outings, and skill‑building sessions.
• Ensure health, safety and safeguarding standards are met, including completing DBS checks.
• Support individuals in achieving short‑ and long‑term outcomes, encouraging independence.

Required profile

• Level 2 Adult Care Worker qualification or equivalent (desirable).
• Previous experience supporting children or adults with learning difficulties or autism.
• Commitment to continuous improvement and person‑centred care.
• Positive, proactive attitude with strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Full UK driving licence preferred.
