Senior Support Worker

About the role

We are partnering with a leading homeless charity in Swindon to recruit a Senior Support Worker. In this permanent, full‑time role you will lead the Supported Housing team, delivering person‑centred support to individuals with complex histories of homelessness, mental health issues, substance misuse and offending.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the first point of contact for day‑to‑day operational decisions and provide guidance to Support Workers.
• Oversee a team of Support Workers, modelling best practice and ensuring high‑quality service delivery.
• Maintain a personal caseload of up to 20 service users, using trauma‑informed, strengths‑based approaches.
• Collaborate with partner agencies including housing, health, social care and criminal‑justice services.
• Support safe accommodation, tenancy management and enforce licence conditions.

Required profile

• Recent experience in Supported Housing, case recording, support planning and risk management.
• Proven ability to manage challenging behaviour, substance misuse, antisocial conduct and complex needs.
• Experience providing guidance and motivation to a team to improve performance and quality.
