Senior Support Worker (Part-Time)

About the role

East Kent Mencap is opening a new Hub in Ashford and needs an experienced Senior Support Worker to help establish a welcoming, person‑centred service from day one. You will shape the service culture, mentor the growing team and create meaningful activities that reflect members’ interests.

Key responsibilities

• Act as key worker and role model for colleagues.
• Support the manager with day‑to‑day service delivery.
• Help recruit, coach and support new team members.
• Chair team meetings and contribute to service planning.
• Assist members in accessing community activities, building skills and confidence.

• Positive, can‑do attitude towards work.
• Enjoys motivating and supporting people around them.
• Organised and willing to take responsibility.
• Driven to help people achieve their goals.
