Senior Support Worker – Residential Care

About the role

Stockdales is seeking a motivated Senior Support Worker to join its luxury residential homes in Sale. You will provide person‑centred care to adults with learning and physical disabilities, supporting them to live fulfilling lives.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and deliver day‑to‑day personal care, including assistance with mobility and health needs.
• Plan and accompany residents on weekly activities such as swimming, trips to the seaside, museum visits and sensory walks.
• Coordinate shift schedules and act as a point of contact for junior staff.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
• Provide on‑call support and respond to emergencies as required.

Required profile

• Minimum of 1 year experience in adult social care or nursing settings.
• Demonstrated ability to lead shifts and support a team.
• Reliable, flexible and willing to work weekends and bank holidays.
• Clear DBS check and two professional references.
• Commitment to undertake relevant qualifications (Level 2/3 RQF/NVQ).

Required skills

• Basic IT proficiency, including Microsoft Word and email.
