Senior Support Worker – Supported Living Services

About the role

We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Senior Support Worker to join our supported living services in Bedford. In this full‑time position you will help tenants develop daily living skills, manage finances, and maintain personal wellbeing while working in a person‑centred environment.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and support a team of junior staff, including rota planning and audit participation.
• Deliver direct support to tenants with daily living, personal care, and health‑related needs.
• Assist tenants with budgeting, finance management, and goal setting.
• Promote a positive, inclusive atmosphere and act as a role model for best practice.
• Work flexible shift patterns, covering early, late and weekend duties as required.

Required profile

• Minimum of 2 years experience in social care or a related field.
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
• Warm, diligent, and conscientious with a commitment to person‑centred care.
• Ability to coach and develop junior staff members.

• Team supervision and rota management.
• Coaching and on‑the‑job training.
