Senior Surveyor (Temporary)

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Surveyor on a four‑month temporary contract to join a large housing association. The position is hybrid, with three days on‑site in Clapham and two days working from home. You will lead a small team and ensure high standards of repairs and maintenance across the portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee a team of Repair Officers, Surveyors and Senior Surveyors delivering responsive repairs.
• Carry out pre‑ and post‑inspection of repair works.
• Manage contractors, maintaining clear communication and driving continuous improvement.
• Contract‑manage main repairs contractors, handling variances in relationships.
• Provide support to the regional team on ad‑hoc duties as required.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in surveying within social housing, including day‑to‑day repairs and disrepair.
• Strong leadership experience with a proven track record in contract management.
• Ability to interact positively and transparently with customers.
• High attention to detail and accuracy in reporting.
• IT‑literate and able to adapt quickly to new systems.
