Senior Systems Engineer

About the role

We’re looking for a Senior Systems Engineer to join Stellar Entertainment’s mission of delivering high‑quality video games. You will work within the core tech team, collaborating with graphics, gameplay, engine and tools groups.

Key responsibilities

• Write clean, well‑documented C++ code following project standards.
• Build scalable, data‑driven architectures within the engine infrastructure.
• Conduct technical assessments of engine and game systems with the Lead Systems Engineer.
• Collaborate across departments to design and deliver key engine features.
• Profile and resolve performance issues across CPU, GPU and memory.
• Ensure high‑quality, maintainable output from system design down to individual functions.

Required profile

• Experience in game development from design through shipping, with strong optimisation and porting knowledge.
• Strong understanding of hardware across multiple platforms.
• Proficient C++ skills, including multithreading, design patterns and systems architecture.
• Familiarity with game engine architecture across several engines, including proprietary ones.
• Excellent problem‑solving and debugging abilities.
