Senior Tax Accountant

About the role

Our client in Sevenoaks is expanding its tax team and is looking for a Senior Tax Accountant. Working closely with the Tax Manager, you will handle a diverse portfolio of personal tax clients, delivering compliance, advisory and planning services.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of sole traders, landlords, directors and non‑resident individuals.
• Prepare and submit Self‑Assessment Tax Returns and 60‑day Capital Gains Tax returns.
• Communicate tax liabilities and deadlines to clients.
• Identify and propose tax planning opportunities for clients and directors.
• Support the Tax Manager on ad‑hoc advisory projects.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing a client portfolio in a busy accountancy practice.
• Full knowledge of the Self‑Assessment Tax Return process.
• ATT qualified or qualified by experience.
• Strong technical personal tax knowledge and ability to research and explain complex issues.
• Excellent client liaison skills and a proactive, service‑focused attitude.
