Senior Tax Manager / Tax Director

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Tax Manager or Tax Director to join a respected accountancy practice in Falmouth. The role offers a clear career path, allowing you to lead and expand the firm’s tax advisory function while working closely with senior leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the tax advisory team and drive the growth of tax services.
• Provide client‑fronting advisory across personal, corporate and mixed tax matters.
• Develop and implement tax planning strategies such as profit extraction, CGT, IHT, EIS/SEIS and SDLT advice.
• Assist high‑net‑worth individuals and trusts with complex tax issues.
• Oversee the use of IRIS tax software for audit and compliance work.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in tax advisory for individuals, partnerships and limited companies.
• Proven ability to manage and develop a tax team.
• Experience working with high‑net‑worth clients and trust structures.
• Strong commercial awareness and ability to advise on corporate transactions.

Required skills

• Proficiency with IRIS tax software.
