Senior Teaching & Learning Administrator

About the role

The Senior Teaching & Learning Administrator will support the delivery of higher‑education programmes by managing course administration, student enquiries and timetable coordination. This six‑month contract role is based in London and works closely with academic staff, admissions, international and student records teams.

Key responsibilities

• Handle enquiries via phone, email and in‑person regarding entry requirements, progression and course combinations.
• Coordinate recruitment, publicity, advertising, interviews, open days and summer schools for prospective students.
• Organise student induction week and provide guidance on registration procedures.
• Develop and maintain departmental timetables, manage room bookings and liaise with staff to implement a common timetable.
• Allocate students to courses, tutorials, projects or placements and upload information to the Portico system.
• Maintain and update departmental content on Moodle.
• Serve as first point of contact for staff and students on regulations, timetabling and pastoral guidance.
• Process course changes, withdrawals and interruptions, and maintain accurate student records.
• Monitor attendance and engagement, analyse student evaluation questionnaires and implement improvements.

Required profile

• Proven experience in higher‑education administration or a similar academic support role.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple programmes simultaneously.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with students, staff and external partners.
• Attention to detail in maintaining accurate records and compliance with regulations.
