About the role
We are looking for a Senior Tech Lead to join a fast‑growing FinTech platform. The role is remote‑first with the option to work from our London office, and you will own both architecture decisions and hands‑on coding.
Key responsibilities
- Design and implement robust, scalable backend solutions.
- Review code, guide architecture choices and resolve complex technical issues.
- Shape the overall platform architecture as the business scales.
- Modernise legacy components and improve reliability, performance and observability.
- Collaborate with the DevOps team on AWS infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines and monitoring.
Required profile
- 8+ years of software engineering experience, including senior or lead positions.
- Background in FinTech or other regulated environments.
- Strong system design and backend development expertise.
Required skills
- PHP (Laravel, Symfony)
- Node.js, JavaScript/TypeScript
- React, React Native
- AWS services (ECS, EKS, RDS, S3, Lambda)
- Docker, Kubernetes
- CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions)
- MySQL, PostgreSQL
- Monitoring tools (Sentry, CloudWatch, Grafana)
