Senior Technical Consultant - Senior C# Developer

About the role

Clio, a global leader in legal AI technology, is looking for a Senior Technical Consultant to join its Professional Services team in Manchester. The team works directly with large law firms to deliver tailored solutions built on the Clio Operate platform, helping clients define, execute and manage complex legal work. The role sits in a fast-moving environment where projects differ and you move between front-end, back-end and database work.

Key responsibilities

• Build and extend solutions on the Clio Operate platform for top 100 law firms worldwide.
• Design and implement custom integrations, workflow components and UI elements.
• Work across the full stack: C#, SQL Server, JavaScript, HTML and CSS.
• Collaborate with analysts, configurators and engineers to deliver scalable solutions.
• Communicate directly with client stakeholders to gather requirements and present solutions.
• Contribute to internal playbooks, patterns and best practices.

Required profile

• A customer-focused engineer who enjoys solving complex problems and learning quickly.
• Comfortable working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders and communicating clearly.
• Proven track record in hands-on software development, ideally on SaaS platforms at scale.
• Front end: JavaScript (vanilla and frameworks such as Vue, React or similar), HTML5, CSS3.
• Back end: C# (.NET) and SQL Server, including query optimisation.
• Experience with complex domains, integrations and performance-critical systems.
• Bonus points for deep technical knowledge, event-driven architectures, event sourcing or data streaming, and familiarity with Elastic, Kurrent, Azure and Pulumi.
