Senior Technical Designer

About the role

The Senior Technical Designer works within Echo House’s design team, translating client concepts into detailed technical solutions and ensuring smooth production flow. The role combines CAD development, technical drawing creation, and on‑site support to deliver high‑quality, sustainable outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Develop conceptual ideas into manufacturable technical solutions.
• Create technical drawings for client and store approval and manufacturing drawings for production.
• Produce production‑ready files for CNC, laser cutting, 3D printing, vacuum forming, metalwork and artwork.
• Collaborate with fabrication, estimation and creative teams to propose optimal solutions within time and budget.
• Conduct site surveys and assist with installations as needed.
• Mentor junior team members and promote health, safety and sustainability practices.

Required profile

• Excellent time management, organisational and detail‑orientation.
• Strong communication and leadership skills, able to work under pressure.
• Positive, collaborative attitude with willingness to support the team.

Required skills

• Proficient in SolidWorks.
• Experience with Adobe Creative Suite.
• Knowledge of Fusion 360, Cinema 4D or Blender (desirable).
• Understanding of technical packs, materials, sustainability and tooling.
• Familiarity with CNC, laser cutting, 3D printing, vacuum forming and metalwork processes.
