Senior Technical Engineer (Azure)

About the role

This is a hands‑on technical leadership position within a global insurance business, focused on designing, building and delivering enterprise‑scale solutions on Microsoft Azure. You will work closely with engineers, architects and business stakeholders to create secure, resilient cloud applications.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver enterprise‑scale Azure solutions and integrations.
• Lead development across .NET/C#, APIs, microservices and Azure PaaS services.
• Build integration solutions using Azure Functions, Logic Apps, Service Bus, Event Grid, API Management, Azure SQL and App Services.
• Drive engineering excellence through code reviews, technical standards and best practices.
• Support CI/CD delivery and DevOps practices across development teams.
• Mentor engineers and provide technical leadership on multiple projects.
• Collaborate with architects, product owners, delivery teams and business stakeholders.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Senior Engineer or Technical Lead in Microsoft Azure environments.
• Strong hands‑on expertise with Azure PaaS services and cloud‑native solution design.
• Deep .NET/C# development experience, including APIs, microservices and integration architectures.
• Experience delivering event‑driven, messaging‑based solutions using Azure integration technologies.
• Good understanding of Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines and modern engineering practices.
• Exposure to Docker, Kubernetes or AKS is advantageous.
• Familiarity with Azure AI services, Microsoft Copilot or Power Platform integration is a plus.
