Senior Technical SEO Specialist (Remote)

About the role

We’re looking for a Senior Technical SEO Specialist to lead SEO for our content team, ensuring discoverability across traditional and AI‑powered search. The role is remote and open to candidates in Europe, the USA, and Canada.

Key responsibilities

• Be the technical SEO lead for a team of seven writers.
• Conduct technical SEO audits covering site architecture, crawling, indexation, Core Web Vitals, schema, and internal linking.
• Research, test, and implement new strategies to improve both SEO and AI search visibility (GEO/AEO).
• Report regularly on rankings, AI citations, CTR and other key metrics, providing recommendations for re‑optimization.
• Build AI‑assisted workflows for content production, SEO analysis, and reporting.

Required profile

• Outstanding knowledge of technical SEO, on‑page SEO, and website architecture.
• Excellent analytical skills with hands‑on experience using Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog and similar platforms.
• Hands‑on experience optimizing content for AI search (GEO/AEO) including ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity and other AI assistants.
• Strong understanding of structured data (Schema.org), crawling, indexation and modern web technologies; software development background is a plus.
• Experience collaborating closely with engineering and editorial/content teams.
• Comfortable using AI tools and automation to improve SEO workflows and scale content operations.
