Senior Technician – Geo‑Environmental Site Services

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Technician to join our national ground investigation team. You will deliver high‑quality, site‑based services for infrastructure, development, water, defence and other projects, ensuring accurate data collection and safe, efficient operations.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out land‑gas and groundwater monitoring, low‑flow sampling and multi‑parameter measurements.
• Install, manage and maintain dataloggers and perform inclinometer monitoring.
• Conduct in‑situ testing such as permeability testing and support geotechnical and environmental sampling.
• Maintain and manage field equipment including CAT & Genny, dip meters and hand vanes, ensuring calibration and readiness.
• Apply strong health, safety and environmental practices on all site activities.
• Collaborate with site and project teams, communicating clearly with colleagues and stakeholders.

Required profile

• Previous experience in ground investigation or a similar site‑based role.
• Strong understanding of HSE practices.
• Confidence using relevant software and field equipment.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel and stay overnight as required.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CSCS, CAT & Genny, SSSTS/SMSTS, First Aid, Water Hygiene) are advantageous.
