Senior Technician

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Technician to join Kier Design’s engineering team, working on major infrastructure projects such as High Speed 2 and Hinkley Point C. The role is based in Speke, Liverpool (or Wymondham) and involves producing and checking structural engineering documentation within a quality‑assured environment.

Key responsibilities

• Produce and review coordinated building structure drawings, 3‑D design models, reinforcement schedules and specifications.
• Check and integrate structural design information with other technical disciplines and ensure compliance with CDM Regulations and British/European standards.
• Visit construction sites to carry out surveys, inspections and gather as‑built information.

Required profile

• A degree in a construction‑related discipline, or HNC/BTEC equivalent, in Structural or Civil Engineering, building or construction.
• Extensive experience creating building structure models and drawings using industry‑standard software.
• Working knowledge of reinforced concrete detailing and scheduling to European/British standards.

Required skills

• Proficiency with REVIT, Navisworks and AutoCAD.
• Ability to produce structural engineering drawings and 3‑D building models.
• Understanding of CDM Regulations and relevant British/European standards.
