Senior Trusts & Foundations Manager, Philanthropy Team

About the role

As a Senior Trusts & Foundations Manager within the Philanthropy Team, you will lead the development and execution of strategies to grow income from trusts, foundations and statutory funders, supporting DofE’s ambition to reach 2 million young people by 2031.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deliver annual income plans, building a sustainable pipeline of trust, foundation and statutory funding opportunities.
• Identify, secure and manage new and existing funding, including five‑ and six‑figure gifts and multi‑year commitments.
• Lead the preparation of high‑quality applications, stewardship reports and impact narratives.
• Maintain accurate CRM records, monitor performance and provide pipeline reporting.
• Represent the charity professionally at meetings, events and networking opportunities.

Required profile

• Proven track record of securing significant five‑ and six‑figure gifts from trusts, foundations or statutory funders.
• Strong written communication skills with experience producing funding applications, proposals and impact reports.
• Excellent stakeholder management, able to work with senior leaders and cross‑functional teams.
• Demonstrated ability to identify and develop new funding opportunities.
• Highly organised, detail‑oriented and able to manage multiple priorities to meet deadlines.
