Senior Underwriter - Delegated Authority Programs

About the role

We are partnering with an innovative, fast‑growing carrier to find a senior underwriting professional who will lead and shape its Delegated Authority Programme business. This hybrid role, based in the City of London, offers genuine ownership of the full MGA partnership lifecycle, from sourcing opportunities to long‑term strategic growth.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate and onboard new MGA programme partners.
• Oversee the end‑to‑end lifecycle of delegated authority programmes, ensuring performance and compliance.
• Define capacity allocation and guide strategic direction for programme expansion.
• Build and maintain high‑quality, long‑lasting relationships with UK programme partners.
• Collaborate with internal teams to drive product development and market expansion.

Required profile

• Extensive network within the UK MGA market.
• Deep understanding of delegated authority underwriting and programme structures.
• Proven commercial credibility and ability to negotiate lasting partnerships.
• Senior‑level underwriting experience, preferably in insurance or related financial services.
