Senior US Tax Associate

About the role

Our client in London is seeking a Senior US Tax Associate with at least two years of experience in US tax compliance. The role sits within a dedicated US tax team that handles personal, corporate and trust matters, while a separate UK team manages local compliance. The position is hybrid, with two days in the office and three days remote.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review US personal, corporate and trust tax returns.
• Assist clients with complex cross‑border issues such as Forms 5471, PFIC, and trust structures.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a subject‑matter expert.
• Collaborate with the UK tax team to ensure seamless advisory support.
• Contribute to the growth of the team by mentoring junior staff.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of hands‑on US tax experience.
• Enrolled Agent (EA) qualification started or completed.
• Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a small specialist team.

Required skills

• US tax compliance knowledge (personal, corporate, trust).
• Understanding of cross‑border tax concepts (5471, PFIC, trusts).
