Senior UX Designer

About the role

AJ Bell is seeking a Senior UX Designer to shape the experience of its award‑winning investment platforms. You will join a growing UX team, influence design direction and champion user‑centred thinking across the business.

Key responsibilities

• Design seamless user experiences across all digital channels.
• Lead the end‑to‑end UX design process for multiple product areas.
• Assist with strategic planning of design initiatives aligned with business goals.
• Contribute to branding initiatives and uphold the “feel good investing” promise.
• Create and maintain components in a Figma library and develop design guidelines.
• Collaborate with executive stakeholders and cross‑functional teams.
• Make informed design decisions balancing user needs, business considerations and creative goals.
• Plan and oversee usability testing using quantitative and qualitative methods.
• Advocate for UX across the organisation and showcase its value.
• Mentor junior designers and lead weekly UX critique sessions.

Required profile

• Minimum six years of experience in a UX role.
• Expertise with prototyping tools such as Figma and Adobe XD.
• Deep understanding of user psychology and accessibility standards.
• Proven experience mentoring junior team members.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Creative, inquisitive and self‑motivated attitude.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
