Senior Workforce Coordinator

About the role

The Football Association is looking for an experienced, people‑focused Senior Workforce Coordinator to lead the compliance, recruitment, onboarding and deployment of its casual coach developer workforce. You will manage a small team, ensure licensing standards are met, and support the delivery of high‑quality football education across the season.

Key responsibilities

• Own the workforce deployment strategy, ensuring effective and innovative use of the casual workforce across multiple disciplines.
• Oversee data management for coach developers and report on licensing status.
• Lead a team of two coordinators, ensuring retention of licences and compliance before deployment.
• Plan and execute recruitment, onboarding and off‑boarding throughout the season.
• Collaborate with regional learning leads and department colleagues to build a high‑performing workforce.
• Identify and mitigate risks related to workforce availability and event execution.
• Coach and develop team members to enhance capability.
• Support EDI initiatives and special‑consideration panels.
• Ensure adherence to health, safety and company policies, including DBS checks.

Required profile

• Proven experience in workforce planning, recruitment and compliance within a large, seasonal environment.
• Strong leadership and people‑management skills.
• Excellent collaboration and stakeholder‑management abilities.
• Ability to analyse data, identify risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Commitment to inclusive recruitment and continuous improvement.
