Senior Xplan Software Engineer (Hybrid)

About the role

We are partnering with a leading UK wealth‑management organisation to find a Senior Xplan Software Engineer. The role will be based in London, Glasgow or Liverpool on a hybrid basis, working on one of the UK’s largest financial‑planning platforms and helping to modernise its engineering stack.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and enhance Iress Xplan solutions within a modern cloud‑native environment.
• Build and maintain integrations between Xplan and enterprise systems such as CRM, data warehouses and reporting tools.
• Write high‑quality, testable code using Java and/or Python following best‑practice engineering standards.
• Collaborate closely with product, architecture and other engineering teams to deliver features on schedule.
• Support the ongoing evolution and scalability of the wealth‑management platform.

Required profile

• Proven experience working with Iress Xplan in a production environment.
• Strong software engineering background with commercial Java and/or Python development.
• Hands‑on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
• Solid understanding of API and systems integration, CI/CD pipelines and micro‑services architecture.
• Experience in regulated financial services or wealth‑management domains is a plus.
