Senior/Associate Building Surveyor

About the role

A growing Manchester‑based consultancy is expanding its Building Surveying team. The role involves delivering high‑quality insights across residential, commercial and public sector projects while working in a collaborative, professional environment.

Key responsibilities

• Work with commercial clients on dilapidations, contract administration, schedules of condition, pre‑acquisition surveys and planned preventive maintenance (PPMs).
• Administer contracts and oversee project development from initiation to completion.
• Collaborate with other surveyors, contractors and clients to ensure high standards and meet deadlines.
• Lead the development of fellow surveyors by supporting quality‑assurance processes and providing coaching.
• Participate in weekly meetings to discuss project progress and strategy.
• Contribute to business growth by delivering outstanding service and supporting business‑development initiatives.

Required profile

• Chartered Membership of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) or on track to chartered status within 12 months.
• Proven experience in residential and commercial surveying.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Valid driving licence and willingness to travel as required.
