Senior/Principal Bioinformatician – Clinical Omics

About the role

You will join a global biopharmaceutical organisation focused on transforming patient outcomes across multiple disease areas. Working in a science‑driven, collaborative environment, you will support translational and clinical development projects by turning clinical‑stage omics data into actionable biological insights.

Key responsibilities

• Process, analyse and interpret multi‑omic datasets (RNA‑seq, NGS, proteomics, etc.) from clinical studies.
• Derive mechanistic and treatment‑related insights from patient‑level data.
• Develop and optimise analysis pipelines, computational workflows and ensure reproducibility.
• Draft high‑quality reports and contribute to scientific publications.
• Apply state‑of‑the‑art functional interpretation tools such as pathway enrichment.
• Integrate omics outputs with clinical variables to enhance understanding of drug effects.
• Operate autonomously while collaborating with cross‑functional scientific teams.

Required profile

• PhD or MSc (or equivalent experience) in bioinformatics, computational biology, statistical genetics, biology or related field.
• Strong experience in clinical bioinformatics, preferably within pharma, biotech or CRO settings.
• Proven expertise analysing bulk and single‑cell RNA‑seq data from complex or clinical studies.
• Experience with multi‑omics integration, functional interpretation and pathway analytics.
• Solid grounding in statistics, data mining and biological data visualisation.
• Ability to communicate findings clearly to both expert and non‑expert audiences.
