Senior/Principal Town Planner

About the role

Our client, a nationally recognised planning consultancy, is expanding its Midlands team and seeks a Senior or Principal Town Planner. You will work on high‑profile private and public sector projects, delivering strategic and development‑management planning while advising clients on complex planning matters.

Key responsibilities

• Manage planning projects from inception through to successful completion.
• Prepare and submit planning applications, appeals and supporting reports.
• Provide high‑quality planning advice across residential, commercial and mixed‑use sectors.
• Liaise with clients, local authorities and stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery.
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to business development.

Required profile

• Chartered Member of the RTPI (MRTPI).
• Strong commercial awareness with the ability to apply planning knowledge in a broader property context.
• Excellent written, analytical and verbal communication skills.
• Confident in client‑facing roles and capable of managing complex projects.
• Proactive, enthusiastic and results‑driven.
