SEO Manager

About the role

Car Planet, a fast‑growing car supermarket with branches in Barnet, Watford and a head office in Enfield, is expanding its digital footprint. We are looking for an SEO Manager to own and execute the organic search strategy across all locations, driving high‑intent traffic, vehicle enquiries and online sales.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct keyword research, analyse search intent and optimise vehicle listings, category and landing pages.
• Improve meta data, headings and content structure to boost rankings and conversions.
• Develop and run link‑building campaigns, outreach and digital PR initiatives while monitoring backlink profile and domain authority.
• Perform full site audits (crawlability, indexation, speed, Core Web Vitals) and collaborate with developers to implement technical fixes.
• Enhance internal linking and overall site architecture.
• Leverage AI tools for keyword discovery, content optimisation and stay ahead of AI‑driven search trends.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of hands‑on SEO experience.
• Strong knowledge of on‑page, off‑page and technical SEO.
• Proven ability to work independently and deliver results.
• Commercial awareness and analytical mindset.
• Automotive sector experience is a plus but not required.
