SEP PIP Nurse – Hybrid (Functional Assessor)

About the role

As a Nurse Functional Assessor at Maximus, you will apply your clinical expertise to evaluate how disabilities or health conditions impact daily living. You will manage complex cases that involve both physical and mental health conditions, including chronic pain, while providing compassionate support to help customers move forward.

Key responsibilities

• Assess the impact of disabilities or health conditions on daily activities.
• Conduct comprehensive functional assessments for physical and mental health cases.
• Produce detailed written reports for each assessment.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop appropriate recommendations.
• Maintain accurate records using computer systems.

Required profile

• Valid NMC registration number.
• Minimum 1 year post‑registration experience in adult or mental health nursing (NHS or other settings).
• Right to work in the UK.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in using computer software for documentation.
