Serious Injury Solicitor (Grade A)

About the role

A highly regarded law firm is seeking a Grade A Serious Injury Solicitor to join its expanding Serious Injury team in Liverpool. This role offers the chance to work on high‑value, complex cases involving serious brain and spinal injuries, amputations and complex orthopaedic trauma, delivering life‑changing results for seriously injured individuals.

Key responsibilities

• Manage your own caseload of serious injury claims, including high‑value brain, spinal, amputation and complex orthopaedic injuries.
• Attend client meetings, conferences with counsel, expert appointments and court hearings.
• Draft high‑quality witness statements, schedules of loss, pleadings and instructions to counsel.
• Lead litigation tasks in line with CPR and pre‑action protocols.
• Work closely with medical, forensic and technical experts to assess causation, prognosis and long‑term client needs.
• Negotiate interim payments, settlement proposals and costs.
• Ensure proactive progression of complex, long‑running claims.
• Support junior team members and contribute to the wider development of the team.

Required profile

• Experience assisting on serious injury or large loss cases.
• Confident managing own files with appropriate supervision.
• Strong litigation experience.
• Proficient with Proclaim and IT literate.
• Excellent communication skills and a client‑focused approach.
