Service Advisor – Automotive After‑sales

About the role

Join a thriving automotive dealership in London as a Service Advisor. You will be the first point of contact for customers bringing their vehicles in for service, ensuring a smooth and pleasant experience while supporting workshop efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome customers at the service desk, build rapport and manage their expectations.
• Book service, maintenance and repair jobs, optimising workshop capacity.
• Identify and upsell value‑adding services, labour and parts.
• Provide regular updates to customers and arrange courtesy cars or alternative transport when required.
• Collaborate with the Workshop Controller and technicians to keep workflow on track.
• Explain work performed, pricing and recommendations clearly to customers.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Service Advisor, Aftersales Advisor, Service Receptionist or Service Consultant in a main dealer or reputable independent garage.
• Strong communication skills, both face‑to‑face and on the phone.
• Proactive, calm under pressure and able to prioritise tasks in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Administrative and IT proficiency for accurate record‑keeping and job scheduling.
