Service Advisor – Automotive After‑sales Role

About the role

We are seeking a proactive, people‑focused Service Advisor to join a busy dealership in Uxbridge. You will be the first point of contact for customers, ensuring a smooth, enjoyable experience while keeping the workshop operating efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Greet customers at the service desk, build rapport and manage their service experience.
• Schedule servicing, maintenance and repairs, maximising workshop productivity.
• Identify and upsell value‑adding services, labour and products.
• Provide regular updates to customers and maintain clear communication throughout the day.
• Arrange courtesy cars or alternative transport when required.
• Collaborate with the Workshop Controller and technicians to keep workflow on track.
• Explain work performed, pricing and recommendations clearly to customers.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Service Advisor, Aftersales Advisor, Service Receptionist or Service Consultant in a main dealer or reputable independent garage.
• Strong customer‑service orientation with excellent verbal communication skills.
• Organised, accurate and able to prioritise administrative tasks.
• Calm and proactive in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Proficient use of automotive service management software and general IT applications.
