Service Advisor – Automotive Service Reception

About the role

We are looking for a Service Advisor to join a leading automotive dealer in Basingstoke. The role involves front‑of‑house customer interaction, coordinating service work and driving revenue through upselling.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome customers and manage the service reception desk.
• Book vehicles for service, create and close job cards.
• Obtain authorisations for repairs and liaise with the workshop on work‑in‑progress.
• Arrange courtesy cars using the One Link system.
• Prepare cost estimates, invoice customers and conduct hand‑overs.
• Identify and promote additional services to maximise earnings.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a main‑dealer environment.
• Strong customer‑service and administrative abilities.
• Proven track record of upselling and meeting targets.
• Familiarity with RTC, One Link and Kerridge software is a distinct advantage.
