Service Advisor – Customer‑Focused Role in Slough

About the role

We are seeking a personable Service Advisor to join our busy dealership in Slough. You will be the first point of contact for customers bringing their vehicles in for service, ensuring a smooth and pleasant experience while supporting workshop efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome customers at the service desk, build rapport and create a hassle‑free experience.
• Book vehicles for servicing, maintenance and repairs, optimizing workshop capacity.
• Identify and upsell value‑adding services, labour and products.
• Keep customers informed throughout the day with clear, timely communication.
• Arrange courtesy cars or alternative transport when required.
• Collaborate closely with the Workshop Controller and technicians to maintain workflow.
• Explain completed work, pricing and recommendations to customers.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Service Advisor, Aftersales Advisor, Service Receptionist or Service Consultant in a main dealer or reputable independent garage.
• Genuine enjoyment of helping people and strong interpersonal skills.
• Confident communicator both on the phone and face‑to‑face.
• Excellent administrative and IT abilities – organised, accurate and able to prioritise.
• Proactive attitude and calmness in a fast‑paced environment.
