Service Advisor – Full Time – £29k + Upsell

About the role

We are partnering with a well‑established automotive business in Bodmin to hire a confident, customer‑focused Service Advisor. You will be the first point of contact for customers, guiding them from booking through to vehicle completion while driving service excellence and upsell opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Greet customers professionally and identify their vehicle service needs.
• Provide clear advice on repairs, maintenance and additional services.
• Confidently upsell relevant services and products to enhance the customer experience and workshop efficiency.
• Liaise with technicians to ensure timely and accurate completion of work.
• Maintain accurate customer records and job histories.
• Handle payments and cash transactions accurately when required.
• Deliver exceptional customer service to build long‑term relationships.
• Stay up to date with vehicle models and service offerings.

Required profile

• Previous experience in an automotive service advisor or sales‑based role.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Proven ability to upsell and meet targets.
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
• Professional, approachable and able to work well under pressure.
• Full UK driving licence preferred.

Required skills

• Vehicle mechanics knowledge.
