Service Delivery Manager

About the role

The Service Delivery Manager will act as the primary liaison for the Sustainment Organisation and its programme, ensuring that all sustainment activities are delivered on time and to the required quality. You will work closely with a leading Defence and Aerospace client, driving continuous improvement and compliance across logistics, operations, and service management.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the main point of contact for the Sustainment Organisation, building strong relationships to understand needs and expectations.
• Manage and be accountable for delivery of sustainment activities, including logistics, deployed operations, service management and trade compliance.
• Create, own, and maintain Business Continuity Plans (BCPs) and the sustainment risk register.
• Support compliance activities such as CONDO process coordination, export controls liaison, and audit readiness.
• Handle requests for change and collaborate with Sustainment Service Architects to deliver new requirements.
• Develop and implement processes aligned with industry best practices and control account management.
• Monitor service performance metrics, ensuring SLA and KPI compliance.
• Lead continuous‑improvement initiatives and conduct regular service reviews with clients and internal teams.
• Manage service transitions to minimise disruption and ensure smooth handovers.

Required profile

• Proven experience in service delivery management, preferably within Defence or Aerospace sectors.
• Strong understanding of service management frameworks such as ITIL and ISO/IEC 20000.
• Experience working with Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) delivery frameworks, e.g., Def‑Stan 00‑600.
• Ability to manage risk, compliance and business continuity activities.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
