Service Delivery Manager – National Messaging

About the role

Join Airbus Defence and Space Digital team to lead the reliability, availability and security of the National Messaging service used by 5,000 UK users. You will work in an agile, multi‑functional environment supporting transformation and delivering innovative digital solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure reliability, availability and security of National Messaging services.
• Perform ITIL‑based incident, problem, change, configuration and event management with a user‑centric approach.
• Monitor and enforce service agreements with providers.
• Analyse service KPIs and user feedback to drive improvement actions.
• Manage and report on the operating budget.
• Contribute to the definition of new products and services with product teams.

Required profile

• Experience in IT Service Management and operational activities, including service provider steering.
• Proven ability to work in large‑scale, complex, multicultural enterprise environments.
• Strong focus on service and customer experience.
• Expertise in crisis/major incident management.
• Autonomous contract management experience for projects and programmes.
• Technical expertise in messaging and directory services.

Required skills

• Microsoft Exchange (on‑premise) and messaging protocols.
• Email security gateways such as Cisco ESA, FortiMail, IMSVA.
• Active Directory (user lifecycle, group management).
• Microsoft Office 365 (valued).
