Service Delivery Manager – Payroll

About the role

As a Service Delivery Manager you will ensure the smooth running of client payroll, acting as the key liaison between the operational service team and the client. You will need to be highly organised, project‑focused and able to resolve client queries quickly.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the delivery of accounting and finance services to clients, maintaining high standards.
• Serve as the primary contact for client queries and address issues promptly and professionally.
• Monitor service levels and implement improvements to boost client satisfaction.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless service integration and delivery.
• Prepare and present service performance reports to stakeholders.
• Identify opportunities to optimise processes and drive efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
• Support team members in achieving their targets and professional development goals.

Required profile

• Experience managing service delivery within payroll.
• Strong background in senior payroll or payroll management.
• Excellent client relationship management and issue‑resolution skills.
• Understanding of compliance requirements in the payroll industry.
• Proficiency in identifying and implementing process improvements.
• Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
• Proactive approach and ability to work well under pressure.

• Salary of £40,000‑£45,000 per year, dependent on experience.
