Service Design & Transition Consultant (Contract)

About the role

Our client is seeking a Service Design & Transition Consultant on a 6‑month contract (outside IR35) to design and embed a service management capability for a managed service offering. The role is primarily remote with occasional travel to London and Leeds.

Key responsibilities

• Design and enable an embedded service management capability to support delivery of a managed service.
• Work closely with architects, project managers and business stakeholders to define service design and transition processes.
• Develop managed services, including third‑party and outsourced components.
• Produce ServiceNow documentation, ensure operational readiness and support governance and compliance activities.

Required profile

• Hold, or be eligible to obtain, NPPV3 or SC security clearance.
• Hands‑on experience in service design, transition and managed services.
• Proven ability to collaborate with technical and business stakeholders.

What we offer

• Day rate of £500‑£550 (outside IR35).
• 6‑month contract with a view to extension.
