Service Designer – Remote (UK Wide)

About the role

This is a remote Service Designer position with an international management consulting firm, focused on delivering large‑scale digital transformation projects for public‑sector clients across the UK. The role offers the chance to work on innovative services while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design end‑to‑end digital services that meet government standards and user needs.
• Collaborate with product owners, developers and stakeholders to prototype and test service concepts.
• Conduct user research, journey mapping and service blueprinting.
• Ensure compliance with Government Digital Service (GDS) guidelines.
• Participate in client visits (1‑2 days per month) to gather feedback and present designs.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of commercial experience as a Service Designer.
• Experience working on public‑sector projects, preferably with GDS standards.
• Residency in the UK for the past 5 years (required for security clearance).
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.

Required skills

• Knowledge of Government Digital Service (GDS) standards.
