Service Desk Engineer – 3-Month Contract in London

About the role

Our banking client is seeking a Service Desk Engineer for a three‑month contract in Central London. You will be the first point of contact for end‑users, delivering high‑quality first‑line technical support via phone, walk‑up and ticketing channels.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and log service requests and incidents through telephone, walk‑up and ticketing system.
• Provide timely troubleshooting and resolution of hardware, software and network issues.
• Perform user account management, password resets and access provisioning.
• Support Microsoft 365, Azure AD, Intune and printer environments.
• Escalate incidents appropriately while maintaining ownership of tickets.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a 1st‑line support or Service Desk role.
• Proactive, energetic attitude with strong communication and customer‑service skills.
• Ability to work onsite five days a week and meet agreed service levels.

• Microsoft 365 administration and support.
• Active Directory user and group management.
• Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) administration.
• Microsoft Intune device management.
• Wi‑Fi, LAN and network connectivity troubleshooting.
• Printer support and troubleshooting.
• Experience with ticket management systems.
