Service Engineer – Advanced Manufacturing Systems

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Service Engineer to join a market‑leading organisation specialising in automated machining systems. You will work across South‑East England, installing, commissioning and maintaining high‑precision manufacturing equipment for a range of industrial customers.

Key responsibilities

• Install, commission and service advanced high‑precision manufacturing systems at customer sites.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical and software‑related faults.
• Perform planned and reactive maintenance on capital equipment.
• Provide technical support and on‑site training to customers.
• Maintain high standards of service delivery and customer satisfaction.
• Collaborate with the wider UK engineering team while often working independently.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Service Engineer in an industrial or capital‑equipment environment.
• Background in machining, CNC, precision engineering or automation.
• Strong mechanical and electrical fault‑finding abilities.
• Comfortable working in production/manufacturing settings.
• Excellent communication skills and a customer‑focused attitude.

• Competitive salary £40,000‑£50,000 per year.
